Ben Greenfield runs a fitness blog
And Ben LIES to his readers. Or he preaches to them about a topic he is painfully ignorant about.
His writing encourages binary thinking and is intellectually dishonest. He claims that steroids are “slowly killing you”, and that there are safe alternatives — SARMs. His suggestions are Cardarine, SR9009 and LGD-4033.
This is incorrect and manipulative from several perspectives.
Here is Benjamin’s blog post titled “Safe Alternatives To Steroids“. Read it and follow along.
1. SARMs can’t honestly be labeled “safe”.
Ben Greenfield is a liar for saying so. Why?
Let me ask you a question first: What does “safe” mean?
Protected from or not exposed to danger or risk
Anyone who has an ounce of knowledge about SARMs, knows that using them exposes YOU to risks.
They do have side effects, and ironically they have the same negative effect on blood cholesterol as anabolic steroids.
Not only that — they suppress your testosterone.
Depending on which kind of SARM you use, they can even be as suppressive as some anabolic steroids.
Testosterone suppression can lead to serious problems. If your genetics and circumstances are bad, you may never get back to normal hormone levels after a SARM cycle…
So if SARMs like LGD-4033 have these side effects… if they expose you to all these additional risks… can they really be labeled safe?
OF COURSE NOT.
And I’m not scaremongering you — I’ve taken mega-doses of LGD-4033. I’ve tried lots of things most people would not dare.
Although SARMs do have some benefits over anabolic steroids, they are not safe. When you take them… you risk your health in a way you never have to in the first place.
In fact, the only truthful rationale for why you would use SARMs is exactly the same as with steroids:
I know the risks but I don’t care. I care more about my performance and physique.
2. Ben Greenfield Is Dishonest About Steroids
Anabolic steroids are serious stuff. You should not take them. And if you do anyway, you need to keep a tight check on your health.
But what Ben writes about anabolic steroids is 100% misleading and dishonest.
Normally, people lie about steroids because they’re genuinely scared of them. But it’s apparent that Ben just wants to funnel more readers into his SARM affiliate machinery.
You may be confused, but read what lil’ Benjamin wrote first:
Not only is Ben Greenfield a dangerous liar when it comes to SARMs. He’s painfully ignorant — or knowingly misleading you — about steroids. Here’s why:
“-increased risk of liver damage and liver tumors…”
This only applies to oral steroids. Superdrol is dangerous to your liver. Milder oral steroids like Anavar can be used for longer and only cause an increased risk of liver damage. But the liver is resilient and recovers quickly — unless you take a stupid amount for too long.
And far more popular drugs like alcohol and paracetamol are also liver toxic, maybe Benjamin should start selling his own, “completely safe” alternative to alcohol?
I know what you’re thinking.
“Benjamin’s claim is factually correct! Oral steroids are liver toxic!”
Let me ask you a question…
Did you know that medication can turn you into an opioid addict?
I’m factually correct. Medication like Tylenol contains an opioid called codeine which is addictive.
But does that mean I’m right when I tell you that all medication is “slowly killing you”? Except for the ones that I sell through my affiliate links?
The truth is… oral steroids are a small subsection in the world of anabolics.
Most of the anabolic steroids are injectable and non-methylated. That means they are not liver toxic at all. But Benjamin plays on his reader’s ignorance and labels every steroid as hepatoxic.
Because he salivates for his reader’s money. No matter how much he has to scam them for it.
“-increased risk of tendon tears…”
Because steroids work. And the people who take them push themselves harder in the gym.
If a 300-pound monster takes steroids, deadlifts 900 pounds and tears a tendon… that doesn’t mean the steroids directly caused it, Benny!
Are you warning people of working out, since that also increases the risk of tendon tears? Or are you selling readers a “100% safe alternative to exercise? (Only 997$ If You Buy NOW!)” ?
“-psychological problems and anger issues..”
Roid rage is not a thing.
Except when you take Trenbolone or Methasterone. Two of the world’s most powerful anabolic steroid with the worst side effects.
Ironically, Trenbolone is a SARM and selectively binds to your brain which causes extreme agression and irritability.
According to Ben, Trenbolone is “safe” because it’s a SARM. Are you going to post an affiliate link to Trenbolone, Benny?
You can get psychological problems after your steroid cycle since your testosterone production is shut down.
Depression, bad libido and irritability are things you feel after a steroid cycle.
Fortunately, steroids users are smart enough to perform a PCT (Post Cycle Therapy) to kickstart their own testosterone production afterwards. That way they minimize these effects.
But testosterone suppression is also unavoidable with SARMs, which Benny didn’t waste a second on.
Similar psychological problems can arise from SARMs. I know people who fall into deep depressions and can’t get their dick hards after two weeks of using LGD-4033, a SARM which according to Benny is completely safe.
It’s manageable when you’re aware of the possibility, and if you know how to deal with the problem.
But it’s scam artists like Ben Greenfield who paint a rosy picture of SARMs being completely safe that truly HARM people who don’t know better.
How can people properly handle negative side effects of SARMs, when they’ve been lied to and aren’t even aware of them?
“-significant blood pressure increases…”
Anyone with in-depth theoretical or practical knowledge about steroids, knows that this heavy varies depending on the anabolic steroid you take, and your genetics.
Oral steroids like Dianabol and Anadrol can bloat you up and send your blood pressure through the roof.
Other steroids like testosterone and Masteron, when you don’t take a boatload of it? Not so much.
3. Are Cardarine And Stenabolic Really That Safe?
Benny also sells you on Cardarine and Stenabolic. Two research chemicals that according to him are safe. (Even though they’re still research chemicals and not approved for human consumption.)
Medical researchers and doctors aren’t sure if Cardarine should be given to humans. But Benny knows the deal. Sure, it’s completely safe… as long as you buy it through my affiliate link!
From my personal experience, and from what the scientific data indicates, Cardarine seems pretty safe in the short term.
It might even improve your cardiovascular health. But we have no idea what effects it may have on humans in the long term. Maybe it could increase your risk of Alzheimer’s or cancer when you’re 70 years old. No one knows.
Besides, Benny didn’t bother telling his readers about the research showing that Cardarine causes cancer. Why would he when he just wants their money? Lucky for you, I tell the truth and give you the full picture in this article.
Stenabolic is another research chemical not approved for humans.
It was developed by Professor Thomas Burris of the Scripps Research Institute. He claims the scientific data supports moving forward with the development of similar chemicals to Stenabolic.
But he also says that Stenabolic itself “has no oral bioavailability” and belongs to chemical groups that “are know[n] to have toxic effects in humans”.
His statement was made public here. But curiously enough… even though Stenabolic has no oral bioavailability… Benny sells you Stenabolic and says that it “can be taken orally”.
Don’t listen to the scientist who invented it! Stenabolic works anyway as long as you buy it through my affiliate link!
4. Benjamin Greenfield Lies To Your About The SARM Side Effects
Not one single SARM is approved for human consumption as of 2019. Several physicians are dubious about them. There’s almost no research at all about SARMs compared to anabolic steroids.
No one knows all the possible health risks SARMs could expose you to. There just hasn’t been enough studies done.
But anabolic steroids? They’ve been around for over 70 years, have tons of research behind them and have been used medically. They do pose health risks, but at least you know what you’re getting into.
Here’s what Lil’ Benny has to say about the side effects from SARMs:
No, no, no…
First off, you don’t need to overdose SARMs or take them for a year to experience side effects. You can get them from normal recreational dosages of SARMs on normal cycles.
Benny tells you to take 5mg to 10mg of LGD-4033 per day. It’s well above the dosages frequently administered in medical studies. It’s only used among “bodybuilding researchers”.
You’re likely to experience side effects from that dosage. How much depends on your body and for how long you take it.
Secondly, the side effects are not only acne, premature baldness and infertility in women. That is laughable.
Here are some of the true side effects from SARMs:
SARMs suppresses testosterone production in males. After a normal cycle of LGD-4033, it will take about 52 days until your testosterone levels get back to normal. But Benny won’t tell you that. Don’t think about the side effects — just buy SARMs through my affiliate links!
Negative Effect On Blood Lipids
SARMs affect your blood lipids (cholesterol) negatively — in the same way as anabolic steroids do. And this may be one of the side effects that should demand your concern the most. Both SARMs and steroids will increase your risk of bad cardiovascular health.
Slightly Liver Toxic
SARMs are slightly toxic to the liver. Not at all as bad as oral steroids, but if you’d go to a doctor and get bloodwork done after a cycle… indicators of liver damage will probably be elevated.
Estrogen-related Side Effects
SARMs don’t convert to estrogen. But they suppress your testosterone. Because of that, you may get hormonal imbalances that cause estrogen-related problems. Bloating, loss of libido, irritability, gynecomastia.
I’m a big fan of SARMs. But I am honest enough to share the truth about them. You don’t have to be afraid of them, but claiming that they are safe is false.
Either Ben Greenfield is too ignorant to write about SARMs or steroids, or he shamelessly lies to his audience. There is no other reason he’d be so dishonest about both steroids and SARMs. He can’t publish affiliate links to steroids, but SARMs pull in the cash for now…
However, I don’t believe Ben is beyond redemption.
Ben Greenfield has been dishonest with his readers. But I hope he can come around. He is a Christian and should turn to the light.
If he really cares about helping his fanbase, he would link to this article in his blog post and clean his name. His readers deserve the truth.
Will he be good enough?
Until next time,
