(If you’re looking to do a PCT after a SARM cycle, read this post)
When I first caught interest in SARMs, there were some people who said you can use SARMs during your PCT. Some other people said you can’t.
So what did I do to discover the truth? I (1) looked into the actual scientific research and (2) tried it all out on myself!
Here are my discoveries and experiences about using SARMs for PCT…
What The Science Says About SARMs And Post Cycle Therapy
If you’re reading this article, you’re probably interested in using SARMs during your PCT after an anabolic steroid cycle.
Anabolic steroids shut down your natural testosterone production completely. You want to kickstart it back to normal with your PCT.
It may be tempting to use a SARM during that period. You want to keep those hard-earned gains. However, you need to keep in mind that SARMs are also suppressive to your testosterone.
Since your primary goal with a PCT is to get your testosterone back to normal, it’s counterproductive to use a suppressive SARM at the same time.
And yes, I know that SARMs like Ostarine are barely suppressive. If you were to do an Ostarine-only cycle, you would see minimal suppression of your testosterone.
But think about it logically!
Here are two situations:
(Situation A) You have normal testosterone levels and run a 3-month Ostarine cycle. You don’t need to perform a PCT because your body can get back to normal a month.
(Situation B) You have 0 testosterone in your body after a steroid cycle and take SERMs to restart your hormone production.
The two situations are extremely different. Just because Ostarine gives you minimal suppression in situation A, where you have healthy testosterone levels… doesn’t mean it won’t be an impediment in situation B.
During your PCT, you’re in a bad hormonal situation as it is. Adding a SARM on top of that just makes it worse.
And now we move on to when I did just that…
My Experience Using SARMs For PCT
I have experimented with using SARMs after a steroid cycle myself. I knew it was a stupid thing to do, but I was curious and just didn’t care about the potential headaches.
And boy… I didn’t use a mildly suppressive SARM like Ostarine. I took 20 mg of Ligandrol daily. With that dosage, you’re bound to see significant suppression.
But I did certainly not feel shut down during my SARM “PCT”. In fact, it felt like I recovered and with time I became slightly happier, more energetic and so forth. I did not lose any muscle mass, except for the sick nitrogen and glycogen retention you get from AAS.
In fact… I kept making a few more strength gains in the gym.
Then I quit it all and did a proper PCT…
It felt like shit the first few days, but I took my PCT drugs and supplements and stayed stoic. After a week, things became pretty good and I had recovered my primal sex drive. It just kept going in that direction.
Doing it this way could’ve been better from a psychological standpoint. Instead of going from:
Juiced, jacked and pumped like a fucking tire →flat like a used condom… it was more gradual.
Juiced → SARM enhanced → Natty
But that’s the only benefit I can see to it. I won’t perform a PCT like this again. It only drags out your recovery time.
Bite the bullet and do a PCT in the proper way. Don’t take any suppressive drugs at that time.
Until next time,
